So.

I jsut made a call to a local computer repair place, and I'm gonna take my laptop into them tomorrow afternoon. I know I could get it fixed for free from Dell, but... I'd rather pay money for local work and not have to deal with the hassle of mailing it back to Dell, then worrying about something happening to it on route. For me, it balances out.

The guy on the phone told me they probably wouldn't even be able to actually look at it until Monday, but since they are a first come first serve place, I'll be ahead of all the people who break theirs over the weekend and bring them in on Mondays.

Maybe I'll luck out and it won't be too expensive to fix, and they'll be able to get it fixed relatively quickly, too.

I would LOVE to be able to finish NaNo on my Laptop.

I'm stuck in the Student Union until 5 because mom and i are gonne go pick up dinner after work... and I expected to work until 3:30, but my boss let me leave early... I think because I looked about to snap... the fun of being short staffed and havign a migraine rising... bah...

I'm feeling more 'zen' now. Relaxed, calm.

I jsut wish our internet on the desktop had been working this morning, because I'd planned to save the latest chapter of 'Beautiful World' into a hotmail draft so I could work on it this afternoon while killing time... but our internet wasn't working, so... there went that plan... lol...

Oh well, I'll read fanfic, maybe write something else a bit...

On a different note... I'm starting to try and piece together a soundtrack for this story. I've got a couple good ones already... most of the songs will be Chuck/Ryan related, but some will relate to Ryan and the Cohens, Ryan and his newfound family, etc... Just watched the 2nd ep of this season and I couldn't be more in love with this show if Coach himself offered to do the nasty with me!!!! There are a few emails I need to read (I'm looking at you, overnighter and elzed) but I had to set my thoughts down first, before I let other comments sidetrack me.

Okay guys, there is seriously not much that scares me. Like there's exactly three things in the world that will make me momentarily freeze up.

The first is heights. I can handle anything up to about 10 feet without too much trouble. Get me much high than that and I kinda start getting freaked. Which is odd since I LOVE rock climbing. I'm always fine as long as I'm facing the rocks, it's if I look down that I freak, even if I KNOW I'm really high up. I think this relates to the time I fell like 4 or 5 feet onto a tile floor and hurt my back. I was like 4 years old and was in so much pain for the first hour or so that I could barely move. I still have a bad back 22 years later.

The second is bees/wasps/hornets. Basically, any insect with a stinger, but bees are most common around here. I've beens tung once in my life, and the site around the sting swelled up greatly so I'm kinda scared of what would happen if I got stung somewhere that it got into my bloodstream really fast. So I see bees? I freeze and freak until they aren't buzzing around me.

The third one, which si alsot he worst? Spiders. I'm terrified of spiders, no matter how tiny they are. It's not a problem if they're on TV or in a container they can't get out of. I think Tarantulas are so cool to look out, when there's glass between them and me. But if a tiny spider is near me without anything between us? I freak. I jsut spent about 2 or 3 minutes standing and staring at a little tiny spider that was dangling from a strand of web in the middle of our living room before I was able to make myself grab a tissue, scoop it up, and shake it out the door to get rid of it. I won't kill spiders unless I have to, but omfg I'm not gonna leave one in the house if I have the option of tossing it outside.

The spiders one is the only one I don't have a rational explaination for. I don't know WHY I'm so terrified of them, just that I am.

Yeah... just felt like sharing my neurosis... lol

I had to purge some non-NaNo related stuff before I could work on it... but what that means is you guys are pretty much garunteed some more of 'Good Enough' tonight. I had a scene for it running through my head all day today, and I had to get it written out as soon as I got home... the next chapter isn't finished yet, but... it's got a really good, emotional, scene going on. Ryan snarks a little with Kevin/Sarah/Justin, and he has something of a heart to heart with Nora... I think in this story Ryan has just hit his breaking point, where he just plain can't deal with things on his own anymore and he needs to let it out, and the Walkers are willing to listen.

Whatcha all been up to??

More of my new universe where Ryan is the son of Lily and Rufus (from 'Gossip Girl') and he and Chuck have a past 'romantic' (in the making out/hot hot sex kinda way) relationship. Chuck's a bit... introspective/thoughtful in this one, but... I think I stayed fairly true to him. Personally, I believe he is a LOT deeper and more caring than he presents himself as being.

Ummm... timeline wise...

Ryan is about a year older than Serena and Dan and the rest of the older group of GG teens. He met Chuck during the summer following Marissa shooting Trey, when things were all f*ed up, which would be the summer before GG started. This story is starting the fall/winter after Season 4 of the OC (which went differently in this universe...) and during the current season of Gossip Girl. I'll try to clear up timeline issues in story sometime soon, but right now... I'm kinda having too much fun exploring the idea of Chuck/Ryan... lol
